Yeah, the multiple image attachments thing works really well. The only issue I can see is that those images are now stored on the Posterous server which is bad for two reasons:

1. You only have 1GB space total.
2. Individual images can't be tagged, commented on etc.
[3. It just ain't Flickr!]

What I would really like is to be able to post an image by attaching it and have it uploaded to Flickr, auto-tagged (I heard this is in the works over there) and then displayed where it was attached within the text. That image would then be displayed and hyperlinked back to the relevant page on Flickr. Additionally, if there is no text, just images, the same happens with the layout as you have above this comment here.

The difference is that it's smart about knowing if the image in contextual to the text, or just a bunch of images to post.

Any thoughts? Would this even be possible do you think?

yea, super impressive work by the posterous team building in the image stuff. i love the fast lightbox as well. i emailed cabel and mike matas to show them the cool features and they might want them for their wordpress and blogger blogs.
