I'm actually more concerned about the environmentally unfriendly hot air emission from that rant.

I think there was an obvious overreaction there (kind funny). However, I would also agree that sometimes the huge long lists of pictures from your blog in the feed reader is a bit overkill. Anything more than a couple pics, probably deserves a link. Some us *are* on limited connections :)

<sarcasmYeah! Use a link! You selfish, rude person, you! How dare you share an interesting experience with those of us who have chosen to read about your interesting experiences!</sarcasm

I enjoyed it. I thought the pix and the story were great, and I liked that you explained part of the reason why you put it on your blog. With everything that's going on, this is a really nice way to support our troops. (That said, I'd be happy to help you with Flickr ;-).)

i'm about 95% certain that is a level that apparently everyone else is missing.

and if this falls in that 5%, well... flame on

Posting tons of pictures is "just plain rude," but apparently sending rude emails in response is acceptable.

What am I missing? Attach the photos and let Posterous slap them into an album.

Perhaps you need to add a state-the-obvious statement to your site T&C's that the relationship between you and the reader is 'at will' and the reader may choose to unsub at any time if (s)he finds your posts not worth reading.

Personally, I enjoyed the blog entry.

Personally, I agree with the anonymous ranter. Rude and selfish. Sorry.

If it wasn't for guy kawasaki i wld believe the point of adding so many images is to increase search engine traffic from people searching from such images.

I have no idea what his problem is, but you know, you can't please all the people, all the time.

Maybe he shoots with a Canon! ^ ^ Just kidding! I don't want you to start getting hate mail from Canon users on my account.

Too funny.... Is this not Guy's blog?? He can put up what ever he wants. YOU have the choice NOT to visit the site! You can please some of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time. If my calculations are correct, Guy is pleasing about 87.3% of the people, 92.4% of the time! ROCK ON!

You know, I used to read blogs like this one and Seth's and a few others in absolute awe. Then my brother said something to me which changed the way I look at any advice or top trends blog.
"They're expert marketers offering expert advice and tips. That is a description of their content and their marketing angle."

Try and remember that what you're told doesn't have to be untrue for there to be multiple motives for what's being said..

I really enjoyed the post, but then again I've never seen the inside of an aircraft carrier. thanks
